SimpList version 2.1 - Summary of Changes

The following is a summary of changes made in SimpList version 2.1. For more information see the SimpList User Guide or online tutorials, or contact your SimpList supplier.
 

1. UNIX support

UNIX path and files names can be stored in SimpList object lists and selected for a wide range of functions.
 

2. Extended Edit and View enhancements

• When editing or viewing a UNIX file, INFO can be entered on the command line to see UNIX file information.
• When editing or viewing a data set, member, workstation file, or UNIX file, FEX can be entered on the command line to Find an EXpression.
   

3. Passing command line arguments to selected objects

When any type of object is selected by entering an object number, an optional argument can also be entered. For example, if a GDG object is selected then a GDG number could be passed; if a UNIX object is selected then a UNIX file name could be passed; if a TSO/ISPF command is selected then a parameter for the command could be passed (etc.).
